Church Musicians
Training Program
John and Lorelei Pfautz
Prof. John and Mrs. Lorelei Pfautz believe in sharing the good news of the gospel of Christ. Though our work at home is never done, God gives us a call and provides us with opportunities to learn from and teach African brothers and sisters in the faith.
Additionally, we are looking for sponsors for what some people call micro-loans. That is, after we approve the application from a student for start-up money allowing the student to start their own business, contracts are signed and a small amount of money is borrowed. When that is paid back due to proceeds from the business, the next loan is granted, until they are self-sufficient.
Giving Opportunities
STAFF
Though the faculty are volunteers, the participation of African assistant teachers is supported by donors who help provide transportation, room and board, and a small honorarium for the week(s) they assist us. Their teaching and mentoring are vital to the success of the program.
Additionally, the following experts have joined us at times to share their expertise:
Oscar King - Church Musician Clinician in Nigeria
Stephanie Biggs - Arts Specialist with OM's Inspiro Arts, Missionary to Tanzania
Steven Chuchu - Professional Singer/Dancer/Choir leader, Tanzania
Nancy Nethercott - Instructor of Spiritual Formation and Biblical Worship, former missionary to Japan, now residing in Indiana, USA
Equipment for Effective Teaching
As resources become available, the purchase and upkeep of musical instruments and technology equipment help to provide an ideal learning and teaching environment for the students. Local churches benefit when CMTP student creativity is supported by musical and technology resources such as quality keyboards, drums, and guitars.
Ensuring The Future
Sponsoring one of our certificate holders to get a university education will not only ensure the future of the program but also allow the program to grow into a Diploma of Church Music educating Music Pastors. Annual costs at a Christian University amounts to about $2,100.
